Most snack ball recipes are no-bake and involve throwing a few simple ingredients in the mixer or food processor. They’re ready to eat in almost no time at all after the kids can help roll them into little balls. My children love snack balls even more than I like to make them…and that’s saying a lot!
Bananas are one of my kids’ favorite fruits and they’ve been asking me to create a banana snack ball recipe for months. So a couple months ago, I decided to give it a try. It wasn’t just me; all four of my kids were with me in the kitchen, happily taste-testing along the way.
After about a dozen attempts, my kids gave me a two thumbs up and I knew we had our Banana Snack Balls recipe.
This Banana Snack Ball recipe is truly a kid-tested and kid-approved gluten-free snack!
½ cup peanut butter
¼ cup honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups gluten-free oats
- Mix together the banana until mashed; add the peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract and mix well. Add the cinnamon and oats and combine once more.
- If too sticky, chill for 30-60 minutes.
- Roll into balls and enjoy right away or store in the refrigerator.
I hope you and your children enjoy these tasty Banana Snack Balls as much as we do!
One tip: I’ll sometimes make a double batch and store them (unrolled) in a sealed container in the refrigerator. When my kids are packing their school lunches, they take a chunk and make their own balls. They love to sometimes make mega snack balls!
